TRANSFORMER FOR TEST BENCH

Finalized in October the installation and site tests for a 18MVA transformer (insulation class 72.5kV), being intended for the test bench of the customer (LVRT Test – “Low-voltage-ride-through”).

The transformer is the interface between static power electronic converters and due to its occasional load it has been equipped with a self dehydrating air breather, to reduce periodical maintenance checks.

The coastal installation (North Europe) called upon to protect the transformer with a special painting cycle, to withstand harshest marine conditions.

CELME managed also the transport to the port (the total weight of the transformer is about 50Tons) showing its competence even in heavy/large loads handling.

Once again all CELME staff demonstrated its professionalism and reliability in meeting customer’s needs and requirements.
